Help Grow a 4-H Club in Our Community!
Do you believe in helping young people grow into confident, capable leaders? We’re looking for community members, parents, and volunteers who want to help start a new 4-H Club right here in our area!
4-H is a youth development program that empowers kids and teens through hands-on learning, leadership, and community service. With your support, we can give local youth a place to explore their interests, build life skills, and make a positive difference close to home.
You don’t need special training to get started — just a desire to guide and inspire young people. 4-H provides the resources, training, and ongoing support you need to make it easy and rewarding.
Whether you have a passion for science, nature, art, leadership, or community engagement, there’s a place for you in 4-H. Together, we can create opportunities that spark curiosity and strengthen our community.
All that is needed to start a 4-H Club is at least two adults willing to serve as volunteer club leaders and at least 5 youth club members. Volunteer leaders must complete an application, interview, reference checks, and a background check, and will receive training in 4-H program delivery.
Club members must enroll in the club through our online enrollment system 4-H Online. The Extension 4-H Agent will provide club leaders with curriculum resources, project books, and additional training on various topics as needed. Once established, the club will elect officers, create a constitution and bylaws, and receive a club charter from the State 4-H office.
Possible 4-H Club Themes
4-H clubs can focus on a wide range of topics depending on your community’s interests and volunteer expertise. Here are a few fun and meaningful theme ideas to inspire you:
STEM Explorers
Dive into robotics, coding, environmental science, and hands-on experiments that build creativity and critical thinking skills.
Animal Science
Discover the world of animal care, veterinary science, and agriculture. Perfect for animal lovers and future veterinarians!
Healthy Living
Focus on fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and emotional wellness. Learn how to live a healthy lifestyle — and inspire others to do the same.
Creative Arts & Expression
Explore your creative side through art, photography, crafts, or performance. Build confidence and self-expression while learning new skills.
Together, we can grow something amazing! By helping start a 4-H club, you’re planting the seeds for leadership, learning, and lifelong success in our local youth. Whether you’re interested in volunteering, mentoring, or simply sharing your skills, there’s a place for you to make an impact.
