County offices closed September 1 in observance of Labor Day

The following York County government offices and courts will be closed on Monday, September 1, in observance of the Labor Day holiday:

• County Government Offices and Courts
• York-Poquoson Social Services
• Virginia Cooperative Extension
• York County Libraries
• Waste Management Center Offices, Drop Off Area & Transfer Station
• VPPSA Compost Facility 

Garbage collections are not affected by the holiday. Recycling will not be collected on Monday, September 1, and will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week with routes completed on Saturday, September 6.

Citizens needing assistance are reminded to submit requests via the Customer Service Request Portal – www.yorkcounty.gov/requests.
