Gun Safety Class
Sheriff Montgomery is pleased to offer another Gun Safety class to the Citizens of York County and Poquoson 18 or older. You will need to bring your photo ID. This free class will be held on March 19 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Law Enforcement building, 159 Goodwin Neck Road. This is a general handgun safety course and not a concealed carry course, although it does meet the safety course criteria required to apply for a concealed carry permit. A certificate of completion will be given at the end of the 2-hour course. Please understand that this is not a hands-on course. It is a lecture only. Sign up here.

Be a Better Recycler
Not sure what to do with your trash? York County Waste Management can help with two new online tools. Check out the Waste Wizard and Material Sorting Game. You can input the item in question and find out if it can be recycled, trashed, or dropped off. Sorting your garbage correctly is a big deal and makes a difference.
