Pet Photo Contest
Show your best furry, scaly, clawed, or slithery friend some love by entering them in our Pet Photo Contest this May.
Rules: One pet submission per individual, max. 2 pets per family. Please include your pet’s name, relevant breed/species information, and a fun fact about your pet when submitting photo. Photo submission must be at least 800x800 pixels.
Submission: Email your entry to the Reference Department with the subject line ‘Pet Photo Contest’ between May 1st and May 15th. Public voting on Facebook is from May 16th to May 31st. The top vote getter will win a fun pet-themed prize pack!
First Time Pet Ownership Program
Thinking about getting a pet? Join Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter (PRAS) on Saturday, May 18th at 10 a.m. in the Tabb Meeting Room for an informative presentation on first-time pet ownership. Learn more about the important questions to ask before bringing a pet into your home and how to decide what type of pet is right for you. Plenty of resource information will be available for attendees; questions are encouraged! This program is suitable for all ages. Registration is recommended but not required.
