On June 26, the York County Chamber of Commerce, Hampton Roads Workforce Council, Worley’s Home Services and York County Economic & Tourism Development (ETD) joined forces to present the Small Business Development and Workforce Development Symposium at the Freight Shed.
The program included a presentation by Hampton Roads Workforce Council with an overview of the recent workforce development survey and a great deal of information about programs and services available to assist job seekers and employers alike. The York County Chamber of Commerce and ETD then moved into an overview presentation about the variety of programs available to support small business growth in York County and the surrounding area. Following the presentations, the 60+ attendees were able to enjoy networking on the Yorktown waterfront.
