This summer, the York County Public Library wants teens to go wild with crafts. As part of the Tails & Tales summer reading program, we are offering free Teen Craft Kits, while supplies last. Just visit the Tabb Library Teen Area or use the Grafton Annex Curbside Pickup Services to get your craft kit. This week's theme is Bookish Beasts, so we're making a dragon egg! Don't forget to check out our Week 1 Middle & High School Booklist for more books featuring Bookish Beasts!
Dragon Egg Craft
Supplies:
- Sequins
- Straight pins
- 1 styrofoam egg
- 1 small binder clip
Instructions:
Note: This is a very easy craft, but can be somewhat time consuming. Patience is key!
- Start at one "end" of the egg.
- Put the pin through the hole in the sequin and push into the styrofoam egg.
- Place another sequin, slightly overlapping the other. Push the pin through the sequin into the egg. This creates the scaly effect.
- Repeat until the egg is covered in sequins.
