 York County is simplifying boating rules by consolidating No Wake Zone markers—details at the Feb. 17 Board meeting. It’s budget season with opportunities to get involved, plus a community blood drive on Feb. 26 to support the Whole Blood program. Reminder: County offices close Feb. 16 for Presidents’ Day.

Registration is now open for York County Gov Series, a 10-week behind-the-scenes program that offers tours, demonstrations, and opportunities to meet County leaders and learn how local government works. Residents can also attend an Identity Theft & Scams Awareness Class on February 19 from 1:00–2:30 p.m. at 159 Goodwin Neck Road in Yorktown to learn how to protect themselves from fraud. In addition, Yorktown Market Days – Winter Series returns to Riverwalk Landing on February 14, February 26, March 14, and March 28, featuring local vendors, food trucks, and seasonal activities.
